EDUCATION FOR TEACHERS

Educators play a crucial role in shaping the minds and lives of their students. To ensure that they provide the best possible learning experience, it is essential for educators to continue their professional and personal development. We provide several workshops that can be implemented into your current professional development curriculum.

Building Relationships & Breaking Barriers

Fostering strong relationships with your students is one of the key contributing factors to their academic success. Research has shown that positive teacher-student relationships can have a significant impact on student learning and motivation. When students feel that their teacher cares about them and is invested in their success, they are more engaged in the learning process and more willing to take risks and try new things. Additionally, teachers who are well-liked by their students are generally more effective at providing feedback and support that helps students improve their performance. This workshop will provide educators with the tools necessary to start creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, improving academic outcomes, promoting social and emotional well-being, and building trust between teachers and students.

Elevate Your Teachers

School leaders play a critical role in ensuring the success of their teachers and ultimately, their students. Research has consistently shown that employees who feel valued in the workplace are more productive, engaged, and satisfied with their jobs. Their overall satisfaction directly relates to retention. As a result, retention provides CONSISTENCY for our students, and our students NEED consistency. Oftentimes there is a disconnect between school leadership and teachers, which creates gaps. It is time to close the gap. This workshop will not only cover WHY you should prioritize your teachers, but we will also provide key ways that school leaders can support their teachers.

Elevate Social Emotional Learning

There are several factors that contribute to mental health issues disproportionately affecting black and brown students, including systemic racism, discrimination, and cultural barriers, all coupled with the lack of equitable access to SEL resources. This is why prioritizing social emotional learning in schools is crucial. The research suggests that SEL programs are an effective way to support the academic and social emotional development of black and brown students. Therefore, In this workshop we will explore the relationship between SEL and culture, then break down how that directly impacts academics. Additionally, this workshop will provide teachers with tools that can be applied immediately in classrooms.
